Honda V65 VF1100C Magna, VF1100S Sabre Valve Seal, Valve Spring Replacement Tool

Honda ALL V65's, 83-86 VF1100C Magna & 84-85 VF1100S Sabre.  Valve Seal or Valve Spring Replacement Tool Revision 2.  I designed this tool after having many customers concerned about their V4's burning oil and smoking, either on start-up or heavy acceleration. I would guess that most of the V4's on the road still have the old valve seals installed, 30 plus years. So this lead me to see if replacing them would solve the problem, which it did. I had 1 bike, a V65 VF1100, that after it sat for just a few days, it would smoke so bad I was sure it was the piston rings. This was the first bike I used a prototype tool on and the difference was amazing. ALL the smoking went away, the bike ran much better and smoother. With the oil leaking into the cylinders, it is obvious that the combustion process was not as complete as it should be. Of the 12 bikes I have now done the valve seals on, they have all ran much better and no more oil smoking. 

This is my second production run of this tool, which means I have sold over 40 of these tools to very happy customers.  In this lot I have changed the color of all the parts but all will function the exact same way.  Example photos are of my first version, again, use has not changed.

This task requires that the camshafts be removed, also the adjuster screws, but not the rockers, so it is a job for someone experienced in the valve timing etc. It is by no means difficult, but I would highly recommend it be done with the official Honda maintenance manual. 

This tool is just as easy to use if the cylinder head is removed from the engine, but I mainly made it to use on heads that were installed, eliminating the cost of gaskets and time to remove the carbs, exhaust and heads first.

It will come neatly packaged in a box with all the parts and bolts included. What I have found to make the job much easier is the use of a metric t-handled wrench, which is not included.

12-page instruction guide with colored photographs and a step by step process as well as a few pointers. This will be e-mailed to you after purchase.

I also have a like tool for the ALL VF1100C & VF1100S  V65's, VF500 VF30, VF700's & VF750 V45's listed that will just do one cylinder, 2 valves, at a time.  It is a little cheaper that the one in this listing but you will need to move the tool 8 times.

NOTE:  I have had several customers request a custom tool where they are for models not listed.  If your model is not listed, let me know and I can make one for you at no extra charge.  I will just need the bolt center to bolt center dimension for your bike where it attaches to the cylinder head.

ALL overhauled water pumps and kits ship free to the lower 48 by USPS priority mail.  Likewise, small parts, NOS, New and even many used parts will also ship for free.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING:

Please contact us prior to purchase with your location. The cost of shipping will be the actual cost. No handling or other fees apply.  We are working on our site to include these fees.

SHIPMENT PROCESSING TIME:

Almost all items are shipped within 24 hours, except weekends.  

RETURNS:

Anything we sell can be returned, no problem, but these are our requirements.  Part(s) can not have been installed, damaged or have original packaging missing.  We inspect ALL parts prior to shipping and often take more photos.  We must be able to relist it to sell again to others.  Although the shipping to you is free, it costs us, so it will be deducted from the refund.  We charge NO restocking fees etc.  We request you be honest about returns and ask questions before your purchase if not positive the part will fit or work for you.  We are always willing to help with part fit and applicability etc.

 

OVERHAULED WATER PUMPS:

The advantage of having us overhaul your pump, or purchasing an overhauled pump from us, is that we will give you a lifetime warranty.  If the pump ever leaks at the weep hole, we will repair it and ship back to you at no charge.  This does NOT cover the cost of removing the pump, shipping back to us or ANY misc. damage.  Do remember it is up to you to maintain the cooling system in particularly good working order and always use distilled water when mixing with antifreeze.  This warranty is subject to the condition of the returned pump.

WATER PUMP KITS:

The parts of these kits have a warranty and if defects are found before you start your overhaul, we will work with you for sure.  We provide detailed instructions with our kits and if follow very closely you should have no problems.  NOTE: This process does require a hydraulic press as well as an assortment of tools to use with the press.  I usually send instructions just prior to shipping the kit, so if you read them and decide it is not something you want to tackle, let us know before we ship the kit.
